Description

This is a commentary on Matthew 14, Mark 6, and John 5-6, the scriptures for our consideration from March 27-April 2 this year in Lesson 13 in the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual.

This is an interesting reading this week. We will have a close look at Herod Antipas and the death of John the Baptist—there is also an appendix on the Dancing Princesses meme.
We will look at Jesus’ feeding the 5000 and reflect on its implications for ward and stake suppers.
We shall see if there are lessons to be learned from Jesus’ and Peter’s walk on the water.
In the two chapters of John we will read about three of the seven signs that John gives us in his gospel for Jesus as Messiah and Lord. We will also explore what is meant by John’s high Christology. pp.33
