Description
This is a commentary on Exodus 14-17—the text for Lesson 15, “Stand Still, and See the Salvation of the Lord” in the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual for 2022.
In this lesson we will study the scriptures that describe the crossing of the reed/Red Sea and ponder a bit on the exodus as a type of our ordinances of salvation. We shall encounter Miriam again and say a bit about hymns and prophetic gifts.
We will see some early types of the Twelve and the Seventy, encounter the Rock of Israel, and read about manna (the bread of Heaven) and the quails. We will also meet the first of many murmurings and think about what it means to sustain the prophet then and now.
