Description
This is a commentary on Romans 1-6 to be studied from August 7-13. This is the beginning of the Pauline epistles. In these chapters we will study the beginning of Romans, Paul’s most complete exposition of Christian theology. His first and principal teaching goal was to explain his views on how the Gentiles could come into the kingdom of God as children of the covenant and attain eternal life just as the Jews could aspire to do as children of Abraham. He will talk about the sins of the world, the atonement of Christ, and how we become justified and then sanctified—fit for salvation. He will also speak of the role of grace in this process. Useful charts, pretty pictures, and meandering footnotes make up the rest of the lesson material. pp.45
