Description

This is the commentary for Lesson 18,” My Presence Shall Go With Thee” in the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families Manual for 2022.

In this week’s lesson the laws of Moses  on slavery, personal injuries, torts, theft, honest, Sabbath observance, social responsibilities, festivals and other laws of obedience and sacrifice are briefly discussed.  Seventy elders were chosen and they saw and had a meal with the Lord. The pattern for the Tabernacle was given to Moses with descriptions of the furniture for their moveable temple. Temple clothing was prescribed. Moses washed, anointed, and clothed Aaron and his sons in the temple clothing.  The people apostatised and turned to idolatry. They rejected the higher law and were recommitted to a lesser law of outward ordinances. We will talk about the covenant path and say something about temple ordinances. There are some comments on Easter and religious syncretism.
